Unfortunately that is a tough one to answer until I have actually done the work.
Here’s the short answer: My rate is $20/hr with a $20 minimum plus materials.
There are a few alterations I do often enough to know a specific dollar amount. Those include:
Jeans Hemming: $20
Take in Jeans at Waist: $30
Bridesmaid Dress Hemming: Starts at $35
Now let’s talk timelines!
For bridal I need at least 3 months from the first fitting to the wedding day.
For bridesmaid dresses I can get away with a month!
For minor alterations I can typically do a turn around time of 2 weeks.
I reserve the right to charge a rush fee if the timeline of your alterations is shorter than what I have listed above. Thank you for your understanding!
